Yesterday we left Norcia and rambled through Umbria stopping in Spoleto, the home of the famous opera festival, where we wandered around the old city for 4 hrs admiring the century’s old aqueduct and their cathedral before stopping for lunch at a local restaurant to have spelt soup... uhmm... very good, then on to Spello where we have rented an apartment for the next 4 days. I will post pictures later

Ok, long time no posts so we are getting back at it. We are now in Norcia, Italy after 2 weeks wandering about. More to follow.

Starting anew

Nancy and I have decided to restart this blog to record our adventures. We love traveling and especially traveling by sail boat and currently own two, a 14 foot Peep Hen named Hedwig and a 43 foot Tanton cat ketch which we plan to circumnavigate the world aboard while following Joshua Slocum's route.

We use Hedwig for day sailing and the occasional overnight-er while foraying into shallow water.
